TRON registers more than 1 million transactions per day

TRON

TRON’s goal is to compete with Ethereum and develop an ecosystem to overtake ETH in all areas. For the first time, TRON recorded more than one million transactions in a single day. The project is one of the youngest but most ambitious crypto market.

CEO Justin Sun communicated on Twitter that TRON has reached another milestone: 1 million transactions in a single day. For the first time, TRON records more transactions than Ethereum. It should be noted, however, that there are many other important parameters to measure the actual success of a cryptocurrency project.

BitTorrent is driver of growth

Industry experts are currently discussing where this rapid increase in volume within the TRON network is coming from. An important factor, however, seems to be the acquisition of BitTorrent. This has contributed significantly to the positive development, with an active customer base of more than 100 million users.

TRON bought BitTorrent for $US 140 million in July. Rumors had been circulating since the beginning of the year. BitTorrent is one of the largest file-sharing networks in the world, and is said to have processed up to 40% of the total internet traffic. Justin Sun justified the purchase of the platform by stating that the TRON Foundation will use the underlying peer-to-peer protocol to make the Internet more decentralized and exploit the full potential of this technology.

Project Atlas will see BitTorrent connect to TRON’s blockchain in a number of protocol extensions. For this, BitTorrent has integrated the TRX token into the network to create an incentive system for the use of the ecosystem. Users receive a reward when they provide greater computing power to the network, providing added value for all actors involved.

TRON is a broad-based project that not only wants to provide an alternative to fiat money, but also provides a platform for developing distributed applications.
