One of the most reputed Media Group, Dow Jones has officially announced a partnership with the blockchain company Brave Software, to analyze possible uses of blockchain technology in digital publishing.
Brave is a blockchain based browser, which is developed with the aim of enhancing the revenue model for publishers via blockchain tech.
The token distribution system of Brave solely runs on the Ethereum blockchain, which awards bounties to users for reading through advertisements and gives publishers a fee in order to provide an uninterrupted ad-free browsing session.
The collaboration with Dow Jones Media will enable Brave to provide premium quality content which consists of Market Watch and Barrons newsletters, to selected users who download the browser app.
Brendan Eich, CEO of Brave stated, “We are delighted to partner with Dow Jones Media Group, to grant premium content to our users through the Brave platform using the Basic Attention Token.”
