The adoption of cryptocurrencies is instrumental in boosting the confidence of the industry and driving blockchain technology into the mainstream. Bitrefill is now making it possible to pay with cryptocurrencies using USD vouchers at half-a-dozen popular fast food chains across the country.
To take advantage of this opportunity, consumers use some of the leading cryptocurrencies including bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and Dogecoin to purchase vouchers that are applied to pay for dining, travel, video games and entertainment. Now these crypto-fueled vouchers are accepted at six of the most popular restaurant chains in the U.S. including Chipotle, Papa Johns, Domino’s Pizza, Burger King, Dunkin and The Cheesecake Factory.

On Twitter, users asked when the vouchers could be applied at Walmart and BestBuy, while others said they would use the crypto vouchers for holiday shopping.
Crypto Step Forward
Although consumers cannot pay with bitcoin or altcoins directly at Burger King for the Double Whopper, the development reflects another small step forward in the journey of cryptocurrencies.
Bitrefill has a presence in more than 160 countries, much greater than just the six restaurant chains in the U.S. Bitrefill vouchers can be purchased either on the company’s website or the app, the latter of which is available on both iOS and Android.
